No. The Barcode app, which drives scanner-led receipts, pickings, internal transfers and inventory counts, is an Odoo Enterprise module. On Community you can still store barcodes on products, lots and locations and print labels, but the scanning workflow screens come with Enterprise. If barcode picking is central to the warehouse, plan for Enterprise from the start rather than afterwards.
How many warehouses can Odoo 18 manage?
There is no fixed limit. Once Storage Locations or Multi-Step Routes is enabled in Inventory settings you can create as many warehouses as you like, each with its own operation types, sequences and hierarchy of internal locations. Products then show quantities per warehouse, and a resupply route lets one warehouse replenish from another instead of ordering from a vendor every time.
How do reordering rules work in Odoo 18?
A reordering rule sits on a product and a location and holds a minimum and a maximum quantity. When the forecast falls below the minimum, Odoo 18 proposes a replenishment that brings it back up to the maximum. The rule can fire automatically on a schedule or wait for you to confirm it, and it raises a purchase order, a manufacturing order or an internal transfer according to the product's route.
Can Odoo 18 show me what stock I will have next month?
Yes — that is the forecasted inventory report. It starts from the quantity on hand, subtracts confirmed deliveries and manufacturing needs, adds incoming receipts on their expected dates and plots the result over time. Vendor and manufacturing lead times set those dates, so the forecast is only ever as good as the lead times recorded on your products and vendor lines.
Do I need the Manufacturing app for multi-step receipts in Odoo 18?
No. Two-step receipts, where goods land in an input area before stock, and three-step receipts with a quality area in between, are configured on the warehouse in the Inventory app once Multi-Step Routes is enabled. Odoo 18 then creates the intermediate locations and the extra internal transfers for you. Manufacturing is only needed when you actually build products.
