Is Odoo 14 still supported?
Not under standard support. Odoo's table shows Odoo 14 as out of standard support and unavailable on Odoo Online, with paid extended support on Odoo.sh and on-premise. Extended support is a mandatory extra fee and covers helpdesk and bug fixes depending on feasibility — it does not include security updates. Only Odoo 17, 18 and 19 currently have full standard support.
Can I upgrade from Odoo 14 directly to Odoo 19?
Yes. Odoo allows an upgrade from any version onto a supported target, and 17.0, 18.0 and 19.0 are the targets its upgrade platform offers. You do not have to pass through 15, 16 and so on. The standard data conversion is one request; the work that decides the date is porting custom modules and third-party apps to the target version.
What breaks when you upgrade an Odoo 14 database?
Customisations, mostly. Standard records convert, but modules written for Odoo 14 need updating for the current ORM and web client, custom report templates need rechecking, and integrations should be tested against the upgraded copy. Odoo 19 also introduced a new JSON-2 external API and deprecated XML-RPC and JSON-RPC, so plan to retest anything that talks to Odoo from outside.
Is the Odoo 14 reporting and dashboard work still there in current versions?
The analysis views are, and they have grown. Pivot, graph and list reporting on sales, inventory and accounting remain standard in the current release, while the spreadsheet-based dashboards and the full Accounting reporting set are Enterprise-licensed. If your Odoo 14 users live in custom reports, list those first: they are the part of an upgrade most often forgotten until go-live.
Is it urgent to move off Odoo 14?
It is not an emergency the way Odoo 10 would be, but the position only gets worse: no security updates, extended support costs extra and is unavailable on Odoo Online, and the port grows by one release a year.
